最上級を使って語る

He is the biggest liar I have met him.
彼は私が会った最大のうそつきである(I have met himで限定していてる)。

He is the biggest liar in the world.
彼は世界中で最大のうそつきである(in the worldで限定している)。

He is by far the bigges liar in the world
彼は抜きん出て世界中で最大のうそつきでる(by farでさらに強調している)。

This is the deepest lake in Japan.
これは日本でもっとも深い湖です

the +最上級：他と比較して一番～だ。
This lake is deepest here.
この湖でここが一番深い。

theをつけない最上級：同じものを状況の違いで比べる場合。

I can run fastest when it’s raining.
私は雨が降っている時、もっとも矢は速く走ることができる。

His plan is the second best to yours.
彼の計画はあなたに対して２番目によい(あなたは１番)。

At most,it will take an hour to get there.
せいぜい、そこにいくのに１時間しかかかからないだろう(at mostはもっとも高いところで見積もって)。

At least,it will take an hour to get there.
少なくとも、そこにいくのに１時間はかかかるないだろう(at leastはもっとも低いところで見積もって)。

＊at mostとat leastは観点が異なっていることに注意。
