副詞が修飾する言葉
・形容詞、他の副詞、前置詞句、動詞
You’re abosolutely right.
君は間違いなく正しい。

You’re probably right.
君はたぶん正しい。

You’re more or less right.
君はどちらと言えないがどちらかといえば正しい。

It’s hard like stone.
石のように高い(like stoneは比喩的で具体的なイメージがわきやすくなる)。

He isn’t old enough to play the role.
彼はその役を演じるには若すぎる(enoughがoldを修飾)。

I was so happy that I couldn’t help laughing.
私は幸せすぎて、笑わずにはいられなかった(soは副詞でhappyで修飾。so以下がthat以下を喚起している)。

I was too busy to call you last nigth.
私は忙しくて昨晩、電話できなかった(tooは副詞でbusyを修飾)。

We’re standing right in the middle of Akihabara.
私たちはちょうど秋葉原の真ん中に立っている(rightが副詞でin the middle of Akihabaraを修飾)。

I live right in the middle of Tokyo.
私は東京のちょうど真ん中に住んでいる。

Your hairstyle was so natural that I didn’t notice.
君のヘアースタイルが自然だったので私は気づかなかった。

I was so happy that I didn’t notice.
幸せすぎて私は気づかなかった。
